the surprise flood at clover drive on the 27th of Jan 2023, it started at around 4pm where the water started rushing past tearing down fences, washing away full rubbish bins and dragging anything in its path away. The video was taken during the peak water height at around 4:30pm, I'm filming through my front window where you can see my brown car being flooded, as is the cars surrounding the area, at this point the water had started filling up my garage and slowly crawling up the steps to my kitchen, Luckily it covered around 2 steps and stopped.

The fire brigade showed up at around 5:30pm and advised us to stay inside as they had difficulty coming in due to the water being up to their necks, as we had a young child with us we stayed put. The neighbour's at the very start of the cul-de-sac had it much worse, our neighbour at 34 had her AC outside get torn away, her mailbox is missing and when we were evacuating I went to take a look and her house was filled with mud, same with the neighbour's at 36 who's minivan got almost fully covered as you can see in the video.

we evacuated at around 8pm by that time just about the whole neighborhood had left, many evacuating to the house at the start of Meadowcroft way. We had gotten picked up by my dad and spent the night at my parents house. When we left the water had died down but there were still pools everywhere, leaving our street we had to maneuver around puddles of rushing water at around 4 inches deep.

We luckily got out safe and with most of our belongings still intact, sadly losing our cars.
