A magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit the regions of Turkey and Syria early Monday morning. According to the latest reports, the death toll passes 5000, with 5775 buildings confirmed collapsed.

Turkish airports are working round the clock to maintain emergency supplies and personnel in devastated quake-hit regions and evacuate the injured.

One video of the corridor in action shows rescuers and their vehicles being loaded onto a military transporter as they work through the night to reach stricken regions.

Another clip shows victims of the quake being wheeled on trolleys from a military ambulance plane into ambulances.

The medivac flights are being run round the clock into airports at Ankara and Instanbul, report local media.

Search and rescue teams and aid were carried into the disaster-hit regions by 37 aircraft in 154 flights.

Officials have also used sophisticated drones to identify worst-hit areas.
The ECD added: "Two Akıncı TİHAs, which were assigned to coordinate the works in disaster areas, continued their flights."
