This is the heartwarming moment a disabled woman's wishes were fulfilled when she went diving for the first time in four years after suffering an accident.

Aom, 30, was left paraplegic after a nasty fall that took away all feeling and movement in her legs. She was housebound and unable to walk - spiraling into a depression compounded by the horror pandemic lockdowns.

However, she finally fulfilled her wish to experience the feeling of seawater on her skin and sea the spectacular marine life. Her friends took her scuba diving on the island of Koh Chang in Trat province, southern Thailand, with the help of tour guides on January 23.

Footage shows the team lifting a scuba mask-wearing Aom from her wheelchair and gently lowering her into the water. She held onto a life preserver to float while basking in the sea for the first time in years.

An emotional Aom said: "I never thought I would be able to dive back and see the beautiful fish again. Even though it was difficult for the team, everyone was willing to help my dream come true. I'm so grateful.
For all the disabled people, I want to say 'do not give up'. You can experience all the beauty that the world has to offer".
