A candle story employee revealed when she experienced verbal abuse from a customer, who turned into the store's 139th Karen. 

Kacie Kicinski, 28, from Washington, shared that a woman rudely dismissed her when she was trying to explain the process of shopping in the store, as the store has a policy that every candle must be sold with a label. 

The customer stated that 'it would have been nice if someone told her that they were required' as she then demanded the employee break store policy and sell them to her without labels.

When Kacie refused she aggressively screamed in her face and left the store.  

Kacie posted the story time onto TikTok where it has since amassed 6.8 million views.

The “Karen Board” was created after Kacie was working alone and there was a large line and a woman got upset that she had to wait in line, and ended up throwing her basket of candles on the floor, shattering them all.

Kacie said: “I created the Karen Board as a way to take my voice and power back.

"The owner, my mom, was immediately supportive and continues to support us sticking up for ourselves and not tolerating disrespect from the public. 

“Not enough places allow their employees to stand up for themselves. So until then, we will continue to call out bad behaviour in the hopes of spreading awareness.

"Policies need to change, the customer isn't always right.”
