This is the hilarious moment a banana boat gate crashed a couple's beach wedding vows.

The tranquil ceremony overlooking the sea was distracted when the cheering holidaymakers emerged into the pictures in Batangas province, the Philippines, on February 20.

While the pastor was giving a holy message to the newlyweds, distant shouts of excitement were heard, sparking giggles among guests.

Footage shows the happy tourists waving from onboard the yellow inflatable as they cruised along the horizon with a jet ski - gate-crashing the wedding photos.

Amused wedding guest Kakki Teodoro said: ‘I could already hear all the screams from afar so I took my phone out quickly to record the banana boat passing by. But I also secretly hoped they would fall to make it more fun.

‘I was trying so hard to contain my laughter, which you can hear in the video. I thought it was so hilarious, like a scene that would just happen in a play or a movie.'

One of the tourists, seemingly unaware that they were already crashing the wedding, was heard encouraging his friends to hold onto the banana boat.

In the video, she was heard saying: ‘Don't worry, it's only choppy in the beginning. Please don't fall.'

Kakki noted that before the event, the wedding coordinators informed the nearby resorts to hold beach activities so the banana boat came out as surprising.

She said: ‘The wedding coordinators kindly requested all other resorts in the area to please hold any beach activities for just one hour until the ceremony is over.

‘We know we have no control over the sea as it is public property, just hoping to keep everything peaceful for a short time with the request.'

But despite the wedding commotion, she added that the ocean crashers made the special day more memorable.

She said: 'In the end, the banana boat crashers happened and I thought it made the very beautiful wedding of my friends even more memorable. It was one of the best and most unforgettable celebrations ever.'

Kakki jokingly added that the couple Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon are theatre actors like him so the wedding blooper was only apt.

She said: ‘As a fellow theatre actor and long-time friend of the couple, we shared so much laughter and real-life bloopers that it felt like ‘of course this would happen at this wedding!''

After having brief laughs from the unexpected guests, the couple went on with their special moment and enjoyed the milestone with families and friends.
