The Teddy Bear Toss home game for Hershey Bears vs Bridgeport Islanders on 01/29/2023, brought in a new world record of 67,309 stuffed animals donated. Fans were to throw the stuffed animals after Hershey scored their first goal. Hershey was unable to score against the Islanders, so once the game concluded, fans began throwing the stuffed animals. Hershey held last year's world record of 52,341 and exceeded that record this year with 67,309 stuffed animals thrown onto the ice.
