Passing boat rescues tourists who fell off capsized ship
A passing boat rescued tourists who fell from a capsized ship.
The vessel was carrying the group on an island-hopping trip when they were met with choppy waves in Palawan province, the Philippines on December 1.
A tidal wave hit them causing their ship to lose balance and everyone on board plunged into the water. Footage shows tourists drifting around their overturned ship.
Scared and tired from floating in the water for almost half an hour, the holidaymakers were saved when another boat spotted the wreckage.
One of the survivors Ajay Balmores said: ‘Please be careful in the sea. The beach is beautiful but it's still dangerous. Thanks to all the people who helped us.'
No one was seriously hurt in the incident and the group was taken back to shore.
