A kind motorcycle rider stopped to help an owl that fell from a tree in Singapore.

Goh Chee Kang found the Sunda Scops bird collapsed on the concrete when he passed along Lim Chu Kang road on March 9.

He pulled over his motorcycle on the side and picked up the weak creature that appeared to be half-awake.

Footage shows Goh holding the brown nocturnal bird and letting it rest in his two-wheeler until it regains strength.

Goh said: ‘I saw the little guy struggling to move. After about five minutes, it regained senses and responded.'

The bird flew up a tree after the quick rest and the rider went on his way.

Goh said: ‘The area had a lot of trucks passing and driving fast. I think this impacts the trees and shakes the living creatures there.'

The Sunda scops are small brown owls with large dark eyes and soft ear-tufts.
