This footage was filmed and produced 8 March 2023.

This impressive footage shows sailors from the US Navy and the Japanese Maritime forces joining together for an amphibious sea-to-land military operation.

US Navy sailors and Japan Maritime Defence Force (JMSDF) service members piloted landing craft, and air cushions from USS Ashland (LSD-48) during amphibious operations at Kin Blue Beach, on the Japanese island of Okinawa on 8th March.

The landing crafts aimed to establish a combat support service area as part of Iron Fist 23, an annual bilateral exercise. Iron Fist seeks to enhance interoperability and strengthen relationships between the US Marine Corps, the US Navy, Japan's Ground Self-Defence Force, and the JMSDF.
