Timely action by cop helps save life of man who slipped while trying to board moving train in western India
Timely action by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, identified as Sushil Kumar helped save the life of a man who slipped while hurriedly trying to board a moving train in western India.
The incident is reported to have happened at Bandra Terminus on March 20.
CCTV footage showed the passenger, identified as Dinesh, running hard to board the Swaraj Express (14471) which had already started leaving the platform. He had a bag on his back and also carried a big suitcase and slipped while trying to hold on to the train and get on to it. His luggage fell and he could have slipped into the gap between the train and the platform but Sushil Kumar arrived just in time to pull him out of danger. He dragged him away from the train and saved his life.
Dinesh suffered a minor injury in this accident.
