The Indian Space Research Organisation launched 36 satellites as part of the LVM3-M3 OneWeb India-2 mission from Sriharikota's Satish Dhawan Space Centre on March 26.

The launch marked the second mission for UK-based OneWeb Group's commercial agreement with NewSpace India Limited to launch 72 satellites.

OneWeb aims to implement a constellation of low-earth satellites. The launch put the 5,805kg satellites into a 450km circular orbit with an inclination of about 87.4 degrees, according to local reports.

This is ISRO's second launch in 2023 after the SSLV-D2/EOS07 mission in February.

Indian Space Research Organisation launches LVM3-M3 OneWeb India-2 mission with 36 satellites in southern India: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched LVM3-M3 OneWeb India-2 mission with 36 satellites in southern India's Andhra Pradesh.

The mission launch took place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on March 26.

Visuals showed the rocket successfully jetting off into the sky. According to reports, this was the second mission for Network Access Associates Limited, United Kingdom (OneWeb Group Company) under a commercial agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) to launch 72 satellites to Low-Earth Orbits.

Bharti Enterprises is a major investor in OneWeb group, which is engaged in the implementation of the constellation of low earth satellites. For ISRO this is the second launch in 2023 after the successful launch of SSLV-D2/EOS07 mission in February.

ISRO said the launch vehicle mission would place the 36 first-generation satellites weighing 5,805 kgs into a 450 kms circular orbit with an inclination of about 87.4 degree.
