Explosion in Tula Region, Russia: Drone Loaded with Explosives Falls in Kiryevsk

On March 26, 2023, an explosion occurred in the town of Kiryevsk, located 30 km from Tula, in the Tula Region of Russia. The explosion, which took place at 15:19 on Dorozhnikov Street 29, in the central part of the city, was caused by a drone loaded with explosives, possibly of Ukrainian origin.

The unmanned aerial vehicle, a Tu-141 "Swift", fell to the ground and created a massive crater, measuring 10-15 meters in diameter and 6-8 meters deep. The blast radius was approximately 500 meters, and the explosion shattered windows in nearby homes.

Reports indicate that three people were injured in the blast, including a 20-year-old man, a 36-year-old man, and a 17-year-old girl. Emergency services were quick to respond to the scene, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
