A naughty pet dog was caught stealing the neighbour's shoes.

The brown pooch named Kanye sneaked inside the gates when it was left open by resident Mark Douglas in Kuching, Malaysia on December 9.

CCTV footage shows Kanye snooping on the front door before biting one of the shoes. He then walked towards the gate like nothing happened and left.

Mark said he only discovered what the furry thief did when he reviewed their cameras.

He said: ‘I had some friends over at my house so I left the gates open. I didn't know that Kanye entered and took my sneakers.'

The resident informed his neighbours about what Kanye did but they couldn't find easily find the left foot shoe.

He added: ‘It took them a week searching around their house for it. Kanye really kept it safe and secure so he doesn't get busted.'

The shoe was returned to Mark while Kanye was scolded so he doesn't repeat it.
