A group of friends decided to play a prank that fool an entire bar in Athens, Georgia.

Austin Joost and his buddy Tolu came up with the idea of a fake proposal on April Fool's Day.

The filmer explained: "Some friends and I were at Paloma Park and wanted to come up with an April Fool's prank. We came up with the idea of a fake proposal, and my buddy Tolu decided to try to convince the girl sitting beside him to go along with it.

"One of my friends had a ring to pull off the prank, and to our surprise, the girl next to Tolu was down for the prank. At the bar, they were playing the Final Four basketball games on the big screen outside, so right after the game ended, Tolu got up and called for everyone’s attention.

"And then what’s seen in the video happened.

"The whole bar went crazy, and the band that came on after the basketball games even dedicated a song to the 'newly engaged couple'.

"Not only did we prank the bar, but we pranked Athens.

"Everyone in town thought it was real. Tolu was getting calls from people left and right asking about the 'engagement'.

"As of right now, Tolu and McKayla have kept in touch."
