Sky glows after lightning strikes electrical transformer in Illinois
A storm chaser captured the moment lightning struck an electrical transformer causing the sky to glow in Peoria, Illinois.
Footage recorded by Newsflare user NZPChasers on April 4 shows a bolt of lightning in the distance followed by the surrounding clouds glowing for the next few moments.
The filmer said: "A lightning strike hit a transformer, which then explodes and makes an orange glow on the horizon. This was captured during a tornado outbreak in Illinois.
