A couple share their bed with five dogs and say it works for them because they are not "big cuddlers"."

Tracy Fosterling, 31, lets her dogs Bear, Mahi, Pup, Lily and foster canine Penny sleep in her bed between her and her fiancé, Tyler, 31, every night.

The dog loving couple let the pooches sleep between them in their king-size bed and are "not bothered" by the hair or being woken up in the night."

Tracy and Tyler, a construction manager, don't let the hounds into their bedroom until they’ve been cleaned.

Tracy is a self-confessed "clean freak" so fluffs and washes the bed sheets every two to three days and spends $600 a month on her dogs' food, bills and treats."

Tracy, a marketing manager, from Jacksonville, Florida, US, said: "The dogs always sleep in the bed with us since we’ve got them."

"That’s just where they like sleeping."

"As we add more, they all want to get on the bed."

"The little one sleeps between our head and the others sleep in the middle."

"Sometimes I wish I had more room, but it doesn’t really bother me."

"They all want to be near my fiancé."

"Neither of us are big cuddlers so it works for us."

Tracy and Tyler have had Bear, a black Labrador, and Pup, a Dutch Chihuahua, for seven years.

They started fostering dogs in 2019 after Tracy volunteered at a shelter and found out a dog would be put down because there was no space to keep them.

Since the pair have fostered over 20 dogs and adopted great Pyrenees’ Mahi in April 2020 and Lily in June 2022.

Tracy said: "I have been adding more dogs to the family."

"I love dogs. We love dogs."

"He goes along with it when I bring a dog home."

The couple have been fostering Penny, a great Pyrenees, for six-months – and say she is just at home on their bed.

Tracy said: "They give us our space when we need it."

"I don’t mind it."

Tracy says people would be "surprised" at how clean her home is."

She said: "I’m a clean freak."

"I wash the sheets every two to three days."

"Hair doesn’t really bother us."

"We clean them before they come in the bedroom and don’t allow them in during the day."

Tracy says Penny, Lily and Mahi are all "big babies" and cuddlers and all their dogs give them "unconditional love"."

She said: "We cuddle up to the dogs more than each other."

Tracy says the dogs all get along and she spends her disposable income on them.

She said: "I just spoil them."

"If I spot an enrichment toy, I get it."

She spends and average of $600 dollars a month on food, vet bills and toys.

Tracy doesn’t have plans to expand her dog family but "would never say never"."

Tracy said: "We don’t have kids yet."

"We take care of our dogs like they are our kids."

Tyler said: "We're both dog lovers, so it works out."

"I don't mind the dogs on the bed with us or taking over the couch, we love spending our time with them."

"Usually, when Tracy brings home a foster dog, I just say 'OK.'"

"It doesn't bother me at all, and the dogs are a huge part of our life."
