Firefighters in Moscow managed to rescue an injured kitten that was trapped inside a car engine on March 10.

Footage shows the firefighters reaching deep into the vehicle's hood to grab the helpless feline that was stuck in the engine's valve.

The car's owner had heard distressed meows and immediately called for help.

Once the kitten was removed, it was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic for a full examination.

The examination revealed that the kitten had suffered a serious injury to its paw joint due to its extended period of entrapment.

However, the veterinarians expressed optimism that the kitten would make a full recovery with proper medical attention.
