The Lyrid meteor shower peaks on April 23, but here footage from Friday (April 21) captures two meteors streaking across the sky in southwestern Switzerland.

the Lyrid meteor shower will peak around 01:00 U.T. on april 23rd ( 03:00 AM monday morning in central Europe ). Here we are 2 nights early, on friday april 21st, 2023 in timelapse video around 5AM till dawn in southwestern Switzerland, looking west. The Lyrids' radiant is out of the field-of-view high above the zenith. You can see many many satellites and a few airplanes criss-crossing the sky. Two meteors were caught, most likely the are Lyrids as they seem to come from where the radiant is supposed to be.
