This peckish moose casually walked into an Alaskan cinema and sniffed out the popcorn before it began to help themselves.

Courtesy of Kenai Cinemas, the CCTV footage shows the entrance way as the moose approaches the concessions stand and chomps down on the popcorn during a quiet day on April 19.

After they had had enough, they looked around and left the establishment.

“Everyone loves the movies, as witnessed by an unexpected guest to our theatre last night,” the cinema wrote alongside the video on Facebook.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game advises people not to approach moose and to give them plenty of space. Though not normally aggressive, they can become dangerous when provoked, the agency said.

It is illegal in Alaska to feed moose and people can even be fined for negligently leaving food out to be eaten by moose. According to the ADFG, being fed by humans can make moose dangerous and aggressive, or even sick.
