A royal superfan who has slept on The Mall in central London for over a week ahead of King Charles III's coronation has talked about his encounter with the King during Friday's royal walkabout (May 5), describing it as a "treasure".
68-year-old John Loughrey told how King Charles came up to him during the walkabout and, after he stated his support for the monarch and cheered for the king, Charles touched his arm, which the superfan has said he will "never forget" and always keep in his heart.
