Thousands of Filipinos living in Quezon City flocked to Quezon Memorial Circle to witness the coronation of King Charles via a livestream.

Some waved Union Jacks as they watched. Drone footage shows the large number of people in attendance.

The event, some 10,000km away from London where the coronation was taking place, was organised by the British Embassy in Manila in partnership with the local government of Quezon City.

British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils tweeted: "Thank you @QCMayorJoy [Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte] for hosting our fabulous public screening of the #Coronation this evening and for lighting up the National Memorial Shrine of Quezon in red, white and blue to honour the occasion."
