Occurred on May 7, 2023 / Salcha, Alaska, USA

Info from Licensor: "On May 7th, 2023, a house in Salcha, Alaska fell into the Tanana River due to ground erosion caused by the melting snow and ice. The owners of the home, who live in California, were aware that this was a possibility in the area known for washout. Upon receiving a video from a friend, the narrator and their friend went to check out the site and found the house actively slipping into the river. The ground was eroding quickly, and just down the street, the intense water from break up nearly took out the main roadway as well. DOT was actively having to dump gravel next to the road to save it. There was no mention of injuries or fatalities, and the ending result of the event is unknown."
