English Electric Lightning Twilight Reheat Run, Bruntingthorpe,
A visit to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire to see the English Electric Lightning's do a double reheat run at twilight.
The sight, smell and noise (especially the noise) was incredible. Great to see them still alive, would be fantastic to seem them fly again.
In the video, EEL XS904 does a full reheat run down the runway. XS904 along with the second functioning EEL XR728 and the recently aquired, almost restored to taxiing condition F3 XR713 owned, restored and operated by the Lightning Preservation Group (LPG).
