A monkey thief stole a tourist's glasses before cheekily trading three pieces of bread to give them back

Footage shows the primate waiting on the ledge beside a stairway before grabbing the man's designer eye accessories in Bali, Indonesia, on May 16.

The monkey looked admiringly at his loot before a woman calmly offered food to it, which it happily ate while sitting.

However, it took more pieces of snacks coming out of the sightseer's bag before the animal let go of the man's eyewear.

Onlooker Roberto Chaves said: ‘You really have to be careful around monkeys in Bali.'

Despite the monkey delaying the tourist, the man appeared to have no grudges against the animal and waved goodbye to the creature after retrieving his eyeglasses.
