Play ball or play dead? 4-year-old tee-ball player has hilarious reaction you have to see

In a delightful display of childhood innocence and playfulness, a 4-year-old tee-ball player named Blake captured the hearts of onlookers at Optimist Memorial Park in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on May 23. As the game progressed, young Blake decided to deviate from the typical tee-ball routine, adding a touch of whimsy to the event.

Often seen chasing after the ball with unbridled enthusiasm, Blake reached a point where he seemed tired of the game's repetitive nature. Instead of continuing to participate, he took matters into his own hands—or rather, his own imagination. To the surprise and amusement of the spectators, Blake walked over to the grass just beyond first base and laid down, playfully pretending to be "dead" as part of his impromptu performance.

However, Blake's humorous act of rebellion did not go unnoticed. Little did the audience know that his coach, who also happened to be his father and the ex-husband of Blake's mother, was there to witness the scene. Without missing a beat, Blake's father approached him with a warm smile, intending to guide him back to his designated position as shortstop.

Mom and filmer Brittney Barris told Newsflare: "We signed my 4-year-old son, Blake, up for tee-ball. Most games, he just chases the ball around the field but he was over it at this point. He walked over to the grass just outside of first base and laid down. His coach (also my ex-husband and my son’s father) went over to pick him up and bring him back to his position as short stop, but my son played dead instead of getting up."
