Close-up footage of flames inside a building site next to North London's Old Street roundabout on Thursday morning.

The incident in the area known as 'tech city' near London's financial district is reported to have started in a building site and continues to burn despite more than 35 firefighters on the scene.

10 fire engines and 2 command vehicles attend a fire in on Old Street/Bunhill Row in EC1Y central London. The building was previously the registered head office of the Post Office but is now being demolished by Great Portland Estates who have applied for planning permission to turn the site into flats. The fire started on the 5th floor and can be seen burning just below the deck of the red personnel lift.
