Indian artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a spectacular sea turtle sand by using 2320 plastic bottles on World Environment Day (June 5) to raise awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution.

The video, which was filmed at Puri beach in India's state of Odisha, shows the hyper-realistic giant olive ridley sea turtle lying on the sand. For its shell, Pattnaik used dozens of plastic bottles which give the artwork a sense of depth and the hard outer covering of the animal.

The artist placed the writing "Beat plastic pollution" in front of the sand artwork.

On the occasion of World Environment Day Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created an installation sand sculpture of olive ridley turtle by using 2320 plastic bottles with the message " Beat Plastic Pollution", at Puri beach in Odisha on June 4.
