STORYLINE:
A technical team in Lanzhou, northwest China's Gansu Province, has digitally restored three ancient military strongholds along the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
With the help of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and advanced technologies such as dynamic modeling and augmented reality, the Great Wall relics and the people's life of more than 400 years ago have been restored.

"After the research of ancient documents and fieldwork at the sites of the ruins, we have finished the (digital) restoration of three ancient military strongholds along the Great Wall.
Through the (digital) panoramic presentation, the visitors can not only see the Great Wall relics, but also see its original appearance, better understanding the rich historical and cultural value of the Great Wall."
The length of the Great Wall sections in Gansu stands at 3,654 km, the second longest in the country.
