STORYLINE:

The 7th edition of Viva Technology, or VivaTech, kicked off Wednesday at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris.

VivaTech is Europe's leading startup and tech event. This year's exhibition area is 20 percent larger than that in previous years.

The four-day event brings together startups, technology leaders, large corporations, public institutions and investors from around the world.

People come together to tackle major challenges of our time and offer solutions that are decisive for both business and society.
