This is the dramatic moment an unsuspecting cyclist was wiped out by a deer running across a road in Hopewell, New Jersey, on June 17.

Footage recorded by the Newsflare member's Cycliq Fly 12 camera shows a deer frantically charge across the road and straight into their colleague's front wheel.

They told Newsflare: "We were over 50 miles into a 75-mile bike ride in Hopewell. As we were moving at a pace of 20 mph, past a field that sat on top of a slight hit, in the video you can see the deer jump down the hill into the street and into the cyclist.

"The deer ran off and the cyclist was able to escape with just a few bruises."
