Small Nestling Makes Big Effort As It Takes Small Barn Owl Five Minutes To Consume A Mouse
Uploaded by a Newsflare content partner
This family of young barn owls have been observed trying to eat a mouse in its entirety, with this nestling taking five minutes to consume the entire meal.
Motti Charter has a number of nest cameras set up around Israel and this window in an owl's home shows the small beak of the barn owl trying to eat the prey that it was provided with.
Over time, the apparent struggle can be seen but the greedy owl was still able to consume the mouse whole.
