STORYLINE:

In June, a new generation of skyscraper building machines developed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. was put into use in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

With the rise of the mighty machine, a building with a design height of about 270 meters in the core business district along the Yangtze River in the city is gradually taking shape.

There is an assembly line inside the machine, which can help workers complete steel column hoisting, steel bar binding, formwork support, concrete pouring and other construction works layer by layer.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): LI JIN, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd.
"Compared with the previous machines, the new generation can help build faster and shorten the construction period by 30 percent.
It is lighter in weight and can achieve one-key lifting by using sensors."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): YANG JU, Engineer
"The construction period of the contract is 1,004 days.
We have to finish one floor within six days on average so that the construction progress could be guaranteed according to the construction schedule.
So the new generation of skyscraper building machines can meet the requirements for the construction progress."
