A dramatic video has emerged of two turkeys fighting in the woods in Milford, MI, US, earlier this month.

The footage shows the two birds fiercely biting each other's head before one collapses gasping for air.

The filmer explained that he went over to check on the harmed turkey after 45 minutes of fight and the bird can be seen walking away at the end of the video.

"45 minutes of fighting happened even after I broke them up 3 times. In the end they would have killed the male but I was able to step in and stopped them" the filmer wrote online.

I was walking in the woods watching s turkey walking alone looking for something and he was walking up to deer and the deer didn't want anything to do with him so he then went in the woods and I could hear a bunch or tussling of leaves so I went in the woods and saw them fighting. That's when 45 minutes of fighting happened even after I broke them up 3 times. In the end they would have killed the male but I was able to step in and stopped them.
