five minute conversation with Sumatran orang hutan...so so sad
the rate of destruction of Sumatran forests is very fast. thousands of hectares have been turned into oil palm land. a habitat unknown to orang hutan. they couldn't survive there. their natural food is lost along with the loss of their forest.
few of them survive cooped up in small zoos in sumatra. with a roaming area of 6 x 6 x6 square meters.
asking the compassion of humans for food watching them.
a heartbreaking sight. considering the orang hutan have home ranges up to tens of kilometers
