A rally was held outside Sydney Town Hall, Australia, to mark 500 days of the war in Ukraine (July 9).

The protesters paid respects to the Ukrainian civilians and grieved for those that had lost their lives in the conflict with Russia.

Ukrainian protesters and other supporters paid their respects to the Ukrainian people’s 500 days of courage, heroism, and resilience at a rally outside Sydney Town Hall. They grieved for the many lives taken on the front line, and the killing of thousands of innocent civilians. In the first week of February 2022, it was anticipated by pessimists that Ukraine would last a day, while optimists, including Putin and the Russian war machine, were sure that Ukraine would collapse in three days. But 500 days on, the Ukrainian people have shown the world they are willing to fight, until victory, for their country, culture, identity and freedom.
