STORYLINE:

China on Monday donated sports equipment to Tanzania to motivate young people to develop their talents.
   
The equipment donated by the General Administration of Sport of China to Tanzania's Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports will be distributed to two schools in Tanzania.
   
Tanzania's Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Pindi Chana expressed appreciation to the Chinese government for the donation.

"The government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the government of the People's Republic of China have a long-lasting bilateral cooperation in the field of culture, arts and sports that aims at promoting these sectors for greater impact and benefits to our peoples.
We sincerely thank the Chinese government for these equipment. We hope that they will be very useful in meeting our needs in sports sector. With these equipment, we believe that our young people will be able to maximize their sports talents, which in long run our nation will have produced more sports professionals."
   
Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Chen Mingjian said sports exchanges have always played a positive role in promoting understanding between the people in China and Tanzania.
