An international dance festival opened Thursday in Urumqi, the capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, attracting artists to showcase their dances in an international arena.
On the same day, performers from Russia visited the Xinjiang Art Museum. On the tour, they tried to learn Xinjiang folk dance from digital figures on a multi-media screen, which showed people of different ethnic groups in Xinjiang singing, dancing and celebrating a harvest.
