This kayaker placed his GoPro underwater to record a basking shark in hot pursuit of his raft.

Craig Whalley was off the west cost of the Isle of Man in June 2018 when he spotted the 7-metre-long shark.

"I noticed this large basking shark, approximately 7-metres-long, following my kayak. I pressed record on my Go Pro camera and towed it behind the kayak.

"Basking Sharks don't have teeth and feed by filtering plankton through their gill rakers."
