This is the heartwarming moment a stray kitten stuck in a sticky glue trap for catching mice was rescued in Thailand.

Footage shows the exhausted tiny ginger feline caught on the trap with its fur covered in goo by the doorstep of a home in Bangkok on July 12.

The female creature was carefully removed and taken to the veterinary clinic, where medics lathered its body in oil to remove the glue carefully.

She was not seriously hurt and returned to the resident's home after being cleaned at the vets.

Resident Iyara Patch, who found the kitten and rescue it, said the feline was a stray living nearby that had wandered into her home.

She said: 'I will think more carefully now about using glue traps for rodents. I felt really sorry for the kitten so I adopted her. I'll take care of her as a pet.'
