A four-year-old boy was found alive in Chadan, Tuva, Russia, on July 27, 2023, after being missing in the forest since July 25.
He endured a four-day trek across the Arctic tundra, facing mosquito attacks resulting in blood loss and hypothermia. The vast wilderness and volunteers contributed to the search efforts.
The boy was found about 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) from his village, suffering from cold and mosquito bites.
A similar rescue story of a three-year-old boy from Yakutia is mentioned. The region experiences heavy rainfall, and temperatures remain relatively low throughout the year, even in July.
