A woman has gone viral on TikTok and left social media users horrified after revealing how she spotted a “demon” on the beach – but all is not as it seems.

Brenda Gonzalez was taking a stroll by the water when she looked to her right and noticed something strange.

In a clip that has racked up 26.4 million views, she films what appears to be a dark sea monster lurking on the sand, with social media users saying it looks like a “demon”.

But the 32-year-old actually has everyone fooled as the monster is not a monster at all – but her four-year-old dog, Lolita.

”Lolita is a very intelligent dog, she knows many tricks and behaves very well,” Brenda, from Taboga, Panama, told http://needtoknow.co.uk

“The beach brings out the crazier side of it and we have a blast every time we go.

“I thought I was sharing a funny video and I ended up terrorising TikTok.

“I used to just see my wet dog but once with a friend she said she looked like a creepy creature and it’s stuck since.”

Brenda shared the video to her TikTok, (@lost_ptyer), where she has 13,800 followers.

In the video, Lolita can be seen stretched out on the beach, wagging her tail and looking suspiciously like some type of sea monster.

She then turns around and shows her smiley face to the camera.

The clip, captioned “I call it Lola,” has gathered 2.9 million likes, as well as 35,900 of comments from shocked users.
