US: Officer-Involved Shooting In South Austin, TX
A police officer was shot after responding to a 911 call in South Austin on Sunday night, August 6.
According to reports, a person at a home on Channel Island Road shot at police officers when they entered the home when doing a welfare check in response to a 911 call. The police officers returned fire. The wounded suspect surrendered and both he and the injured police were taken to hospitals for treatment.
