Gusty winds above 60 mph blasted through the Hawaiian islands on Tuesday, August 8, an indirect result of the passing Hurricane Dora 500 miles away.

Trees were downed and power lines toppled as strong winds hammered the islands. Multiple brush fires were also raging in several areas in Maui and the Big Island.
