A security guard amazed visitors when he showed off his impressive piano skills at a library in Malaysia.

The young worker on duty appeared shy when he hit a few keys on the instrument while manning the entrance inside the building in Shah Alam City on April 13.

But an amazed onlooker encouraged him to perform as he heard music from the mezzanine floor - and was given a show.

Footage shows the security guard playing an original soundtrack from the movie Howl's Moving Castle. He also played classical Beethoven's Fur Elise and SZA's pop song Kill Bill.

Library-goer Edris Qayyum said: ‘Someone told me he holds a degree in music. But she said that to live, you need to eat, and music isn't the best source of income.'

The security guard remained unidentified, but Edris added he sometimes played for visitors who recognised him when his video spread.

He said: ‘Sometimes he would play songs when he is not busy. I hope we hear more of his music in the future. He's such a talented fellow.'
