Jawans came to the rescue of a girl who was trapped under the debris after another landslide struck northern India's Himachal Pradesh.

This happened in Phagli area of Shimla district on August 14.

Visuals showed the officials saving the girl who was trapped under the debris. With the help of the locals, the jawans were able to take the girl out of from under the rubble with the landslide wreaking havoc in the area. As per a report, several houses were buried underneath the rubble and trees after they slid down from a hilly area as the landslide struck. When neighbours of a house came to rescue the ones who were trapped under the debris, another landslide reportedly struck, causing even greater devastation.

Those injured were taken to the IGMC hospital for treatment with the rescue operation being completed. Unfortunately, five people have also died in this incident.

Several landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have wreaked havoc all throughout Himachal Pradesh and other adjoining states in northern India.
