Starbucks has opened a signing store in Kuching, Malaysia, to aid people who are hard of hearing or deaf.

The staff employed at the shop are deaf and the store's mission is to promote inclusivity and the use of sign language.

Starbucks Malaysia marked another milestone with the launch of its outlet at Vivacity Megamall here in Kuching Sarawak Borneo Island which uses sign language as a means of communication.

Dedicated to offer employment and development opportunities to the deaf community as well as to foster meaningful connections between partners and customers, it is the coffee chain's first "signing store" in Borneo region and its third after Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
