Tango World Cup 2023 in Buenos Aires, Argentina

A Colombian, a Brazilian and four Argentines were crowned world champions in the three categories in dispute in the Tango BA World Tango 2023, which is part of the Tango Festival that concludes this Sunday in Buenos Aires.
According to the Government of the Argentine capital, organizer of the competition, the dance couple formed by the Argentine Suyay Quiroga and the Colombian Jhonny Carvajal, representatives of the city of Buenos Aires, were crowned champions in the tango de pista category, which privileges the most classic style of the social tango dance.
Meanwhile, Argentina's Julian Sanchez and Brazil's Bruna Estrellita, also representing Buenos Aires, won the top prize in the stage tango category, a specialty that combines technical virtuosity and choreographic display.
This edition of the World Championship introduced a new category, senior tango, for people over 55 years of age, whose first champions are the Argentines Sergio Decrin and Sandra Leal, representatives of the Argentine city of Rosario.
