Spain: Flooding, Travel Disruptions Hit Madrid After Heavy Rainfall 2
An intense storm hit Madrid early Friday, September 15 causing flooding and travel disruptions.
M-40 motorway was partially closed while the metro service was disrupted on multiple lines. Flooding was also reported on A-2 highway and La Garena railway station in Alcalá de Henares, northeast of Madrid.
