The air was filled with excitement and anticipation, and it seemed as if the time had stood still, when two besties finally reunited after five long years.

"Julie and I have been best friends since she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended my then congregation, in Santa Monica in 2015," the filmer, Mandi Kitchen, told WooGlobe. "A few years later, both of us left the LA area to move closer to our respective families. She went to Shanghai, and I to Salt Lake City.

"Then, COVID hit the world and shook both countries. She wasn't permitted to renew her passport or granted access to leave the country until she got accepted to her school program here in Utah. I prayed and prayed she would get accepted to her MBA program and get a visa in time to start, and she did!"

On the day Julie returned to The States, Mandi planned a surprise airport greeting to welcome her back. She brought a vase of flowers and her husband, whom Julie had never met.

"It was incredible to see her, and we were filled with so much relief that she can now live and study close by once again," the filmer added.
