A kind train driver slowed down for a herd of cows running across the tracks.

Footage shows the bovines traversing the railroad about 50ft-away from the approaching locomotive so engineman Krittayapat Kongjun had to give way in Trang province, southern Thailand, on July 4.

Krittayapat said: ‘If a train hits a cow, it is the farmer's fault according to law. But they still raise animals and leave them wandering around.'

The Railway and Highways Act of 1921 Section 85 states that the government can acquire land for railway construction.

This section deals with the power of the Director General of the State Railway of Thailand to acquire land for railway construction. But farmers argued that the expansion of the rail network will lead to the loss of income for families and disruption of farming activities.
